Pickled copper, maker marked "D.E. BLACK Co" on the reverse, 39.8 mm x 58.8 mm, intact lugs, extremely fine.Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Lethbridge, Alberta under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed September 27, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel W.A. Pryce Jones with a strength of 30 officers and 883 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 17th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
