Fabricated from thick olive green webbed cotton, the body incorporating a strip folded over, forming a loop for placement upon a belt at the top, with the remaining portion stitched back-to-back for increased strength. There are two 22 mm wide straps stitched in place at the mid-point, the one with a reinforced slot and when looped around the magnetic metal post on the other strap, ensures that the bayonet is secured in place. The bottom end of the strip has a tunnel-shaped housing for the weapon, the housing with a reinforced capsule-shaped hole to secure the frog stud of the bayonet in place, eight digit code stamped in faded blue ink on the reverse, the frog measuring 55 mm x 217 mm x 35 mm. Extremely fine.
