An early type buckle in nickel-silver, 48.8mm, die stamped, with excellent details, with standard embossed Gothic motto, "Meine Ehre heißt Treue", (My Honor is Loyalty); the reverse is marked “RZM SS 35/36” – for maker Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid); complete with retainer and prong bar, nice old patina, in extremely fine condition; a scarce and very desirable early SS-Officer’s buckle. (Illustrated on page 225 of Angolia’s book).

Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
