An Unusual Army (Heer) Enlisted Man's Belt Buckle by Berg & Nolte, Lüdenscheid

In silvered pebbled stamped steel, two-piece construction with face plate affixed by two soldered tabs, reverse marked "GES. GESCH." (Gesetzlich Geschützt) with a partially obscured Berg & Nolte, Lüdenscheid insignia, measuring 47.5 mm x 62.7 mm, worn, very fine.

Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
