In stamped silvered steel, marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) and maker marked "M5/276" (Klein & Quenzer AG., Oberstein) on the tip of the HJ diamond on the reverse, with paper tag printed in red ink and stapled to the roll bar, marked with the RZM insignia, inscribed "Hersteller" (Manufacturer) and "HJ-/Koppel-/Schloss", marked "Nr." with the maker stamp "M4/115" (Klein & Quenzer AG., Oberstein) in faded black ink, marked "Nr. A" with an asterisk and the number "270333" printed in black ink, measuring 47.7 mm x 64.2 mm, unworn, near mint. This particular buckle is illustrated on page 273 of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition" by John R. Angolia and came from his personal collection.

Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
