First ammunition pouch is fabricated from a thick, durable black leather with a pebbled finish, incorporating a fold over cap with a strap stitched on the underside, the strap with a die-cut, teardrop-shaped hole at the opposite end and when looped around the magnetic metal post on the underside of the pouch, ensures a snug fit when closed. The inside of the pouch was formerly divided into two sections by the use of a narrow horizontal strap near the top but it has been lost to time. The reverse of the pouch has an additional panel stitched in place, the panel with a vertical strap stitched and riveted in place and like the strap attached to the cap, has a die-cut, teardrop-shaped hole at the opposite end and when fed under the horizontal strap that is riveted in place, then looped around the magnetic metal post on the underside of the pouch, ensures a snug fit. The pouch measures 72 mm x 99 mm x 40 mm. Second ammunition pouch is fabricated from a thick, durable black leather with a pebbled finish, incorporating a fold over cap with a strap stitched on the underside, the strap with a die-cut, teardrop-shaped hole at the opposite end and when looped around the aluminum post on the underside of the pouch, ensures a snug fit when closed. The inside of the pouch is divided into two sections by the use of a narrow horizontal strap near the top, the one end of the strap secured to the body of the pouch via a rivet, the other end having lost its rivet and is hanging loose. The underside of the cap is stamped in black ink "53". The reverse of the pouch has an additional panel stitched in place, the panel with a vertical strap riveted in place for placement upon a belt. The pouch measures 71 mm x 100 mm x 41 mm. The frog is fabricated from a thick smooth finished black leather, with heavy, durable, quality stitching, reinforced with four rivets, unmarked, one small tear running from the die hole in the holster to the upper edge, the frog measuring 58 mm x 235 mm.
