Footnote: Corporal Georg Markonett was Killed in Action at Waterloo, and his name is on the Waterloo monument, under the heading "DRITTES ODER LANDWEHR BATALLION MUNDEN" (fourth line from the bottom, second name from the left), with the rank and first name correct, but his surname spelled differently: "Corpor. Gg. Marconet” on the monument versus "Corporal Georg Markonett” on the medal. This type of misspelling is not unusual for the era.
