Feinzink buckle with a painted field green finish on the right end, non-magnetic, unmarked, the buckle measuring 49.7 mm, the clip adjoining the buckle in field green aluminum. Belt fabricated from a thick olive greenwebbed cotton, faded maker's stamping in black ink where the belt wraps around to the reverse on the right end, receiving clip in field green aluminum on the left end, smooth finished butterscotch-coloured leather tab stitched in place on the underside on the left end, the tab with seven rows of two holes each for length adjustment, faded size stamping in black ink on the underside of the tab, the belt with one slider in matching olive green webbed cotton, the belt measuring 43 mm x 940 mm. Scattered paint wear evident on the buckle and clips, one dark spot on the belt's upper, light soiling and crazing present on the tab. Better than very fine. This particular belt with buckle is illustrated on page 89 of "Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich, Revised Edition" by John R. Angolia and came from his personal collection. Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
