George V. Silver gilt, maker marked "SG" (Sebastian Garrard), hallmarked with the British lion, a leopard's head (made in London), date marked "r" (1912) and engraved "CAPT. G.R. SILLS 1914 / 1st V. & 4th (T.) / BN: LINCS: REGt" on the reverse, 36.2 mm x 44.8 mm, original ribbon with pinback hanger, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "GARRARD & Co. Ltd." on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, scuffing evident on the bottom, case near extremely fine.
