Canada's Brave Boys Boer War Commemorative Medal, 34 mm in diameter, silver, with inscription "CANADA'S BRAVE BOYS" along the outer edge, "SOUTH AFRICA 1900" surrounding the handle of a sword, and a dove with a banner in its mouth reading "WELCOME HOME". Maker marked P.W. ELLIS & Co. TORONTO below. The medal is chain suspended from a 22 mm x 40 mm silver hanger, featuring a maple leaf, crossed swords and an intertwined banner reading "TORONTO WELCOMES HER SONS" and comes pinned to a four colour vintage ribbon. In better than very fine condition.
