In silver, hallmarked and maker marked "MO" on upper arm on the reverse, very crisp detail, 35.2 mm, bronze linden leaf clasp on original ribbon, better than extremely fine. Footnote: NSG (NarodnĂ­ Streleckych Gard = National Armed Guard). The Czech National Guard can trace its antecedents back to the Middle Ages; this cross was awarded for service during the Sudetenland crisis of 1938which culminated in the ignominious appeasement of Germany at Munich.
