Bayley, 56th Field Company, Royal Engineers was awarded the Military Medal "for Bravery in the field", as documented in the Supplement to the London Gazette, page 11138, on November 14, 1916. Bayley was also entitled to the 1914 (Mons) Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
