Germany. An SS EM/NCO'S Buckle by "RZM 822/37 SS"

Aluminum construction buckle (injection molded), plain, with embossed central section featuring SS pattern eagle and swastika, surrounded by SS motto "Meine Ehre heißt Treue!", (My Honor is Loyalty!). "RZM 822/37 SS". Number refers to the maker "822" (some sources believe this maker to be Sieper), while "38" is the year of production - 1938. This buckle exhibits moderate wear and use, in very fine condition. Footnote: From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
