Twisted and braided cord, fabricated from gold-coloured bullion wire interlaced with maroon and black embroidery, flat head of the lanyard in maroon, black and white embroidery, fronted by a 21.5 mm x 30.2 mm bronze gilt badge displaying the cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm II, surmounted by a crown and framed by a wreath of oak leaves, 285 mm in length inclusive of its suspensions loop, the loop housing a fob with functioning clip, scattered gilt wear on the badge, patches of oxidation evident on the bullion wire, near extremely fine.
Footnote: This shooting lanyard was awarded in ten degrees, the first four were a lanyard without the golden badge, with the "acorns" representing the next degree. With the 5th Class came the gold badge with the cypher.
