A Second War Cigarette Case to Major G.E. Findlay; Royal Montreal Regiment

Sterling silver, front cover with the engraved initials "G.E.F" at the upper left, along with a Royal Montreal Regiment affixed in place at the lower right, inside covers with a gold-coloured wash, maker marked "BIRKS" and marked "STERLING" on the inside back cover upper lip, marked "73" and "L73" on the facing lips along the bottom on the inside front and back covers respectively, engraved "Presented to / Major G.E. Findlay / Mount St. Bruno Camp / Aug. 25th - Sept 14th 1940 / from / Headquarters Company / 2nd Btn. Royal Montreal Regiment N.P.A.M." on the inside front cover, copper restraining spring on the inside back cover, push release, 83 mm x 114.7 mm, contact marks, very fine.
