Footnote: This particular helmet is part of a uncommon Canadian veterans collection. Canadian Army Cook Walker served in North West Europe between 1944-45 and was subsequently part of the occupation force that remained in Germany until 1952 when he returned to Canada. During this period of time, Cook Walker amassed a collection of German helmets, many of them extremely rare. After years in storage in Vancouver, British Columbia, the collection of helmets is now available for sale.
