1903 Edouard Orban de Xivry Monument Dedication Medal - Darkened bronze, obverse illustrating the left-facing bust of Governor Xivry, surrounded by the inscription "Bon. Ed. ORBAN de XIVRY. GOUVr. DU LUXEMBg." and dated "1892-1901" (the dates of his service as Governor), reverse inscribed in French "SOUVENIR DE L'INAUGURATION DU MONUMENT ÉRIGÉ À ARLON" (In Remembrance of the Inauguration of the Monument Erected at Arlon) and dated "19 JUILLET 1903" (July 19, 1903) in the centre, surrounded by the inscription "HOMMAGE DE RECONNAISSANCE DES LUXEMBOURGEOIS" (Tribute to his Service to Luxembourg), 50 mm, light contact, surface oxidation evident on the reverse, near extremely fine.
