Hanover. A Military Association War Medal, c.1918

Item #G22732

$90

Bronze, 33.5 mm, replacement ribbon, better than extremely fine.

Footnote: This medal was a remembrance token, dedicated to participation of Hanoverian subjects during the First World War and was instituted by the Hanover Military Association in 1920. Applicants had to present military papers proving their war experience to Association authorities, who issued an award document upon approval. As per many of the numerous Weimar-era badges, this medal had to be privately purchased by veterans themselves.
