An Order of the Star of Romania; Commander with Crossed Swords & Case

Type I (1877-1932): Silver gilt with red, green and blue enamels, silver hallmarked and maker marked "V" (Vinc Mayer, Wien), of very high quality manufacture, 65.3 mm x 103.5 mm inclusive of its crown and crossed swords, on a full-length neck ribbon, intact enamels, near mint. In its hardshelled case of issue, crowned cypher of Carol I on the lid, Romanian coat-of-arms and maker marked "JOSEPH RESCH FILS BUCHAREST" on the inside lid, recessed medal bed, sticker identifying the order in German affixed to the bottom, lightly scuffed on the exterior, case near extremely fine.
