The Medal Bar and Iron Cross 1st Class of Generalfeldmarschall Erhard Milch

A medal bar mounted as worn by Generalfeldmarschall Erhard Milch, mounted German style, comprising: Iron Cross 2nd Class, magnetic; Clasp to the Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939, in silvered tombac, mounted as worn on EK 2nd class ribbon bar; Hindenburg Cross with Swords, magnetic; Luftwaffe 25 Years Long Service Medal, in gilded tombac, with polished highlights; Luftwaffe 12 Years Long Service Medal, in gilded iron, magnetic; Luftschutz/Air protection Award First Class, in fire gilded tombac, with polished highlights; Commemorative Medal 13. March 1938, in silvered bronze; Commemorative Medal 1. October 1938, in bronze, with Prague clasp; Memel Commemorative Medal, in bronze; all awards in extremely fine condition and of very fine quality manufacture; ribbons are clean and bright, with Godet, Berlin, label stitched to reverse; some moth damages to the reverse of the bar, in worn condition. Iron Cross 1st Class, magnetic, marked "6." on pin on reverse, swastika obliterated, in worn condition. Footnote: Generalfeldmarschall Erhard Milch (30 March 1892 – 25 January 1972) was a German field marshal who oversaw the development of the Luftwaffe as part of the re-armament of Nazi Germany following World War I. During World War II, he was in charge of aircraft production. He was convicted of war crimes during the Milch Trial held before the U.S. military court in 1947.
