An August 1943 Kriegsmarine U-Boat Plaque

Brass U-Boat insignia fed through a large aluminum gear, non-magnetic, 69.5 mm x 156 mm, held in place by a dual nut and bolt combination, brass name plate in the upper right corner inscribed "Zur Erinnerung an das Kriegsjahr 1943 Vannes, ol. 20.Aug.43" held in place by two brass screws, both pieces affixed to a white melamine plate with a polished black finished surface, on a red-painted, bevelled edged wooden plaque base, 107 mm x 203 mm, easel back for display on a shelf or desktop, light wear and contact, near extremely fine.
