A 1908 YMCA East Side vs. 2nd Avenue Branches Sport Medal

Gold filled with red and blue enamels, obverse illustrating a standing robed woman, her arms outstretched with wreaths of laurel leaves in both hands, a shield bearing stars and stripes behind her, an insignia in red to the left surrounded by the inscription "EAST SIDE BRANCH" with "VS" (versus) on the insignia, an insignia in blue at the right and inscribed "2nd AVE. BRANCH" above and "Y.M.C.A." below, the date "MAY 30. 1908" at the bottom, reverse engraved "RUN HIGH JUMP", marked "GOLD FILLED" and maker marked "DIEGES & CLUST 25 JOHN St. N.Y." on the reverse, 33 mm x 33.7 mm, intact enamels, light contact, near extremely fine.
