A 1934 Leipzig Fischerstechen badge (4.10.1934); In die stamped gilt metal, horizontal pin on reverse; unmarked; measuring 44 mm x 35 mm; better than fine condition. Footnote: Fischestechen (Water jousting) is a traditional German/Swiss form of jousting where adversaries carry a lance, standing on a platform on the stern of a small bat. The aim of the sport is to send the adversary into the water while maintaining one’s own balance on the platform.
