A 1934 Arbeitsbeschaffung of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront badge (28.9.1934 - 14.10.1934); In die stamped silvered bronze, horizontal pin; unmarked; measuring 42 mm x 36 mm; very fine condition.
Footnote: This is a donation badge for an early Nazi work program designed to foster the peasant handicrafts industry. With the dissolution of all Free Trade Unions in Germany in May 1933 the Deutsche Arbeitsfront, (German Labor Front), was established to replace the unions and to educate the workers in industry and commerce for smooth and efficient operation of all labor in the Third Reich. In October 1934 the DAF was given official status as a sub-section of the NSDAP.
