With nickel-silver hilt fittings exhibiting only minor surface wear; lower crossguard group marked “He” (for Hessen). Dark brown wooden grip exhibits moderate surface wear with early quality finish, and there are no cracks or chips. There is a tight, original fit with both fittings. The early silver grip eagle is nicely set-in, and is problem free, matching the hilt fittings, while SA insert is properly inset. Importantly, the blade rates near mint with a high quality light surface wear/runner marks and no cuts or nicks to cutting edge, with gray shadowing and speckling; with excellent cross-graining. Well marked with early Tiger Solingen logo. The scabbard exhibits only minor wear (specifically from contact with wearers leg). Free of any major dents, nickel-silver fittings on the shell show light surface wear and gray age patina, nicely matching the hilt fittings with minor depressions to lower ball. This dagger comes with unmarked vertical hanger showing moderate wear and minor color loss to leather. Attached to hanger is belt attachment. Uncleaned, untouched and overall in extremely fine condition.
