Certificate of Honour Badge for Loyal Service, 40 years, Bavarian Industry association, 28.6 x 42.3 cm; Date of item: 1936; Condition: very good, signs of aging; A certificate about the awarding of the Ehrenzeichen für treue Arbeit (Honour Badge for Loyal Work) for locksmith Karl Frey for 40 years of service. It shows a man and a woman with a cogwheel between them, with the number 40 inside. In the background there are several manufacturing buildings. Above the cog it says “Honour of work” or “Honour to work”. Frey works for Süddeutsche Baubeschläge- & Eisenkonstruktions-Fabrik Franz Blab (Southern German Builder’s Hardware & Iron Construction Manufactory Franz Blab), owned by Friedrich Schröder, in Munich.
The badge has been donated by the Bavarian Industry association in Munich on Sep 30th, 1936. At the bottom the certificate shows two coats of arms of the state of Bavaria, with a swastika in the middle.
