A Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen with envelope of issue; 1939-1941; in bronzed brass; the obverse with centrally positioned crossed shovel and sword with a concrete bunker below, the german national eagle above, encircled by an oak leaf border; the reverse inscribed “Für Arbeit Zum Schutze Deutschlands” (For work in the defence of Germany), within an oak leaf border; measuring 40 mm x 33 mm; with packet of issue; on correct replacement ribbon; extremely fine condition.
