A Frederick the Great, Battle of Rosbach (November 5, 1757) and Lissa (December 5, 1757) medallion; in bronze; the obverse with an equestrian figure of Frederick the Great prior to the Battle of Lissa; the reverse with a scene from the battle of Rosbach; measuring 48 mm; deep patina; moderate edge loss but otherwise very fine condition.

Footnote: Frederick the Great was a British ally in the Seven Years War and resoundingly defeated two combined French and Austrian armies in Germany within one month in late 1757. (C:45)
