A Swedish Order of the North Star in Gold; Grand Cross Set by C.F. Carlman, Stockholm

An impressive and visually pleasing set by notable maker C.F. Carlman of Stockholm beginning with a beautiful sash badge carefully crafted in 18K Gold with blue and white enamels, three crowns (Tre Kronor) hallmarked, maker marked "CFC" (C.F. Carlman, Stockholm) and marked "18K" (Gold) on the edge of the bottom arm, measuring 54 mm x 79 mm, inclusive of its crown suspension, badge sewn in place to its original full-length sash; and Breast Star: two-piece construction, silver, three crowns (Tre Kronor) hallmarked with an additional hallmark, maker marked "CFC" (C.F. Carlman, Stockholm), marked "S", "830" (silver) and "110" on the pin hinge, ball finials on the star points, 85 mm x 85 mm, vertical pinback. Intact enamels, extremely fine. Accompanied by its 9 mm Rosette, in its hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "C.F. Carlman AB." on the inside lid, raised platform medal bed, scuffing and wear evident on the exterior, case fine.
