Set of Early NSDAP “County/District” Leader collar boards; silver bullion wire intertwined into a chord; with loop overhanging the tan Waffenfarbe cloth backer; double triple-thread knot, signifying rank of Kreisleiter; some adhesive residue on one of the collar tabs, otherwise very fine condition.
Footnote: A Kreisleiter was a rank within the NSDAP and existed between 1930 and 1945. The primary duty of the Kreisleiter was to provide German election district coordination. Following the German rise to power; Kreisleiter also became of the county/district municipal government. Although the rank existed until 1945, after 1939 the rank of Kreisleiter began to be phased out, and replaced by the ranks of paramilitary organizations.
