A commemorative medal for spanish volunteers in the struggle against Bolshevism (Erinnerungsmedaille für die spanischen Freiwilligen im Kampf gegen den Bolschewismus); in zinc; maker marked “1” on ring (Deschler & Sohn, München); measuring 32 mm; on horizontally pierced ring for ribbon suspension; correct replacement ribbon; very fine condition.

Footnote: The spanish volunteer medal was awarded by the Third Reich to the men of the Blue Division who served at the Russian front. The Blue Division was known as the 250th Infantry Division, composed by 47,000 men sent by Francisco Franco to aid the Third Reich and to pay back Hitler for his with the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War.
