Bronze gilt, maker marked "BAYER. HAUPTMÜNZAMT" on the edge, obverse illustrating the bell with eagle over five conjoined rings insignia of the Berlin Summer Games, a swastika below, surrounded by the inscription "OLYMPISCHE SPIELE BERLIN MCMXXXVI", reverse illustrating a standing woman in flowing robes, bearing a branch of laurel leaves in her right hand and a wreath of laurel leaves in her left hand, surrounded by the inscription "ZUR EHRE DES VATERLANDES ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS", 36.7 mm, ring suspension has been added, spotting and scattered gilt wear, very fine. In its box of issue, inscribed "1936" with the five conjoined rings insignia of the Olympic Games, recessed medal bed, box very fine.
