An Afrika Korps Trench Art Miniature Iron Cross Dagger

A unique and one-of-a-kind German Afrika Korps trench art miniature dagger, measuring 199 mm x 44 mm. The “blade” and “crossguard” are crafted out of a single sheet of aluminium. The blade is inscribed “Gott Mit Uns” (God with Us) on one side, and “Afrika 1945” on the other. The crossguard is in the shape of an Iron Cross, and is inscribed “1914” on the one side, and “1939” on the other. The grip appears to be made of black-lacquered wood, and is attached to the crossguard and blade via two pins. The dagger is very solid and generally well crafted, with only a few marks from age, and perhaps even some casual use.
