A Miniature 50 General Assault Badge

A 50 General Sturmabzeichen stickpin;49 mm pin on reverse; unmarked; measuring 16 mm x 13 mm; better than very fine condition. Footnote: The General Assault badge and matching stick pins were designed for presentation to combat engineers, as well as members of the artillery, anti-aircraft and anti-tank units who supported infantry units in combat. However, it was also awarded to medical personnel attending to battlefield casualties. To be awarded the 50 General Assault badge the following criteria must be met: 1) The recipient must not be eligible for the infantry assault badge 2) To have taken part in a minimum of 50 infantry assaults on three different days 3) To have been wounded while performing in direct or indirect infantry assaults.
