A 1914 Valcartier Camp Mobilization Medal

Silvered bronze with a bronze gilt inserted centrepiece, obverse illustrating a rifle-bearing soldier in the centre, surrounded by the inscription "VALCARTIER CAMP 1914", military icons on all five arms, clockwise from the upper left: crossed rifles, cross cannons, crossed swords, horn and anchor, reverse inscribed with the The Lord's Prayer in very small type on the centrepiece, 40.3 mm x 41.7 mm, suspended from a 22 mm x 41.7 mm ornate silvered bronze pinback hanger inscribed "CANADA", missing its catch, scattered silvering and gilt wear, very fine.
