King’s Commendation For Valuable Service in the Air An extremely scarce WW2 example of the silver pin back badge. The reverse stamped ‘Silver’ with the registration number “R.D. 847363” GC. Instigated in 1942 and awarded to civilians, who had rendered valuable service in the Air. This award could also be worn on military uniform, usually after the medal ribbons. The Award was discontinued in 1993.
