Saskatchewan: Sterling silver with red, green, white and blue enamels, maker marked "LM" and marked "STERLING" on the reverse, 34.3 mm x 36 mm, horizontal pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine.
Footnote: The 15th Canadian Reserve Battalion (Saskatchewan) was organized at East Sandling on January 4, 1917, under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel Anson Dulmage, authorized under Routine Order 271 of January 20, 1917. The Battalion was formed by absorbing the 32nd and 188th Battalions, later absorbing the 214th and 232nd Battalions on April 29, 1917, the 243rd Battalion on June 9, 1917, the 249th Battalion in March 1918 and the 19th Canadian Reserve Battalion on October 15, 1917. The Battalion reinforced the 5th and 28th Battalions and on October 15, 1917, the 46th Battalion and the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles. The 15th Canadian Reserve Battalion (Saskatchewan) moved to Bramshott on February 23, 1917 and to Ripon on January 21, 1919. It was disbanded in England on June 14, 1919.
