A Second Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger by P.D. Luneschloss

A rare and seldom encountered maker. Bright aluminum hilt fittings are well detailed, as is the the embellished pommel, crossguard and quillon sufaces are finely detailed. Light ivory coloured solid celluloid grip is without cracks or chips, however it does show wear from handling. Ten rows of uninterrupted tight twisted wrap on the grip. The blade grades near very fine as it shows signs of having been cleaned and contact. The Luftwaffe blue leather buffer pad remains. Blade has the etched maker mark of P.D. Luneschloss Solingen, complete with the company's stylized logo. Scabbard exhibits moderate surface wear, toning, mild surface oxidation. Overall, very fine.
