Bronze gilt, illustrating the initials "AIS" in an oval, taking the place of the eagle's head but with its feet and wings intact, maker marked "ELLIS BROS." on the reverse, 14.5 mm x 53 mm, horizontal pinback, scattered gilt wear, very fine. Footnote: This badge is believed to be Canadian c. 1916-1917, for the “School of Flying Training” at Armour Heights, Ontario.
