Footnote: The Luftwaffe-Flak Abzeichen was a German military decoration of the Second War. It was designed by Wilhelm Ernst Peekhaus and was awarded after servicemen earned 16 points (destroying an enemy aircraft - 4 points, aiding the destruction of an enemy aircraft - 2 points, radar detection of an enemy aircraft - 1 point, searchlight detection of an enemy aircraft - 1 point). Notably, as opposed to the Army Flak Badge, 1 point was awarded for the destruction of ground targets. The Luftwaffe Flak badge could also be awarded for an act of merit or bravery in the performance of anti-aircraft duties.
