An Unusual SA/NSDAP Youth Supporter's Belt Buckle

Item #G25401

$550
Sun-Wheel Swastika; Crafted out of a single piece of stamped brass; with iron (magnetic) alligator-type closure; unmarked; measuring 55 mm x 40 mm; some light corrosion on the obverse, otherwise near very fine condition. Footnote: This is likely a SA/NSDAP supporters youth private purchase belt buckle, judging from the static sun-wheel swastika and the smaller-than-usual size of the buckle. A very unique and uncommon piece. From the collection of approximately 900 German buckles accumulated by John R. Angolia, who start collecting buckles, belts and brocades from 1944 until around 1990; most of the buckles were obtained from the American and German veterans; most of these buckles present a core of Angolia’s book “Belt Buckles & Brocades of the Third Reich”, published in 2001.
