A Rare Medal of the Spanish Blue Division; Officer's Version with Case

Two-piece construction, silver with a black enamelled swastika, 6.5 mm thick, inscribed "Rusia 1941" on the reverse, 35.3 mm x 45 mm, original ribbon, suspended from a traditional Spanish horizontal hanger with pinback, near mint. Pinned to a blue cloth wrapped padded card medal bed, in its hardshelled case of issue, scuffed exterior, weakened hinge, case, fine.

Footnote: This officer’s version is much thicker then enlisted man's version, and of different, heavy construction. It is scarce, as about 300 were awarded.
