A Napoleonic Period Hand Painted Wooden Box Depicting a Prussian Cavalry Rider

This is a beautifully handcrafted wooden box depicting a Prussian Cavalry Rider (likely from a West Prussian Uhlan Regiment) in full uniform on a white horse. The box has a beautiful mahogany finish on the interior, with a textured finish on all four sides. The bottom depicts a textured leaf pattern of red and green oak leaf stems. The box measures 91 mm x 63 x 23 mm, and displays signs of use and wear. However, the artwork on the top side of the lid is very well preserved. Small chip of the wood on the interior of the lid. Very fine.
