A very fine quality 3rd Class Japanese Order of the Rising Sun; in silver and white, purple, and green enamels; centre red glass cabochon; measuring 83 mm x 56 mm including its Paulownia flowers suspension; full-length neck ribbon with gilt clasp closure and adjustment frame; in hard-shelled case of issue; balsa wood frame; black lacquer finish; gilt characters on the lid with recessed medal bed crafted out of purple plush with slot of neck ribbon. Order without significant enamel wear or significant contact marks, slight soiling on neck ribbon - mainly due to age, contact marks on box of issue due to age or storage wear; overall near mint condition.
