Buckle in die-stamped silvered aluminum on the right end, marked "DRGM" (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster), maker marked with the stylized Assmann "A" (F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid) and date marked "43" (1943) on the reverse, illustrating the winged wheel above a swastika insignia, inscribed "DEUTSCHE" above and "REICHSBAHN" below the insignia, the buckle measuring 51 mm. Belt in a thick leather, with a smooth-finished black upper and brown underside, leather tab with a smooth-finished black upper stitched in place on the underside at the right end, the tab with seven rows of two holes each for length adjustment, stamped in black ink "OST PRAG" (East Prague) on the underside of the belt behind the tab, matching silvered aluminum receiving clip on the left end, the belt with two sliders and measuring 43 mm x 1,030 mm. Surface war evident on the reverse of the buckle and on the receiving clip, roll bar housing the prongs bent, crazing on the upper of the belt, wear present on the tab from active use. Very fine.
