Buckle in a two-piece construction, with a die-stamped silvered insignia on a silvered aluminum base on the right end, unmarked, illustrating the 1938 pattern Luftwaffe eagle inside a full wreath of laurel leaves insignia, the buckle measuring 47.8 mm x 63 mm. Belt in a thick leather, with a smooth-finished black upper and brown underside, dark brown leather tab stitched in place to the buckle, the tab stamped "36" and maker stamped "KNEIDING BERLIN 1935", leather tab with a smooth-finished brown upper and smooth-finished black underside stitched in place on the underside of the belt at the right end, the tab with eight rows of two holes each for length adjustment, magnetic silvered metal receiving clip on the left end, the clip maker marked with the "OLC" (Overhoff & Cie, Ludenscheid) insignia, the belt with two sliders housing brass D-rings and measuring 45 mm x 1,020 mm. Attached to the D-rings is a cross strap with a smooth-finished black upper and brown underside, matching that of the belt, held in place by functioning silvered aluminum clips with pebbled uppers, the strap measuring 23 mm x 1,100 mm. Scattered silvering wear on the buckle and receiving clip, very light crazing on both tabs, intact stitching. Extremely fine.
