Measuring 18x13.2m; A photo of two Nazi officers of the administration of the Eastland. The man on the left is Otto-Heinrich Drechsler, General Commissioner of Latvia. The so-called Eastland was composed of the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, as well as parts of Poland and Belarus. Otto-Heinrich Drechsler (1895–1945) played a significant role in setting up the ghetto of Riga and in the Holocaust in Latvia. The back of the picture states that one man is the Reich Commissioner for the Eastland. The picture was taken by Foto V. Kalninš, Riga. However, the Reich Commissioner between 1941 and September of 1944 was Hinrich Lohse, and afterwards Erich Koch. Both are not in this picture. The man on the right could not be identified. Two possible candidates are SS-Gruppenführer Walter Braemer (1883–1955), General of the Cavalry in the military administration of the Eastland, and Theodor Fründt (1897–1984), Main Department Head of department 2 of the Reich Commissariat of the Eastland.
