Portugal. A Military Order of Christ, Grand Cross Set with Case

Grand Cross: silver gilt with red and white enamels, unmarked, 43 mm x 65.8 mm, on an original full-length sash; and Breast Star: multi-piece construction, silver gilt with red and white enamels, maker marked "FREDERICO COSTA CONDECORAÇÕES" on the reverse cartouche, 71.7 mm x 72.7 mm, vertical pinback. Intact enamels, scattered gilt wear on the suspension loop on the Grand Cross, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, raised platform with recessed and slotted medal beds, case also extremely fine.
