Constructed with a moss green wool exterior, fold down panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides, the panels trimmed in gold-coloured bullion piping in a thatched pattern, sewn in place on the peak on the front is an Army eagle in two-tone green and yellow machine embroidery, illustrating a left-facing spread-winged eagle, its talons gripping a wreathed swastika below, embroidered tri-colour cockade sewn in place on the fold down flap below the eagle. The interior with a gray leather sweatband, lined in gray rayon and is unmarked. The cap measures 115 mm x 295 mm, exhibiting fraying on the eagle insignia, soiling evident on the sweatband and lining, with part of the sweatband missing at the rear and the sweatband separating from the body of the cap at the front, very fine.
