A mint and very fine quality Iron Cross 1939 Second Class; two piece construction; silver frame and magnetic iron core with the black paint extremely well preserved and the frame still very lustrous; loop for suspension (unmarked); original ribbon; measuring43.70 mm x 43.73 mm; weighing 18.3 grams; in mint condition. Original paper packet of issue with “Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1939” printed in black on the obverse with “F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid” stamped on the reverse; measuring 131 mm x 102 mm; near mint condition.
